Q is 30+ years old. Last year, people in the executive suite started to retire. This year it's SVP and VP retirement time. The urge to retire will move into lower ranks as time goes by. Within the next 6 months, expect a lot of people announcing their retirement. It's tme for the genX to make Q great, again ... or fail.

When a VP retires, there's really no need to do anything because they add no value in general. They do format the weekly report the senior VP sends weekly to the president though. So the senior VP has to learn how to do the formatting himself. It can be very stressful work. It's not easy getting the font style, color, and size all correct. That's why these guys make the big bucks.
If the VPs are leaving then who is presiding over their organizations?

You think they are retiring? I heard they were getting "asked to leave". Lots of VP packages being dealt out.
