I can say that Google is single-sourcing the Nexus-6 (Moto-X 2nd generation) despite continuing demand for the Nexus-5. I agree with the text above. If the sw is not unique, feture rich, they will compete on price. The Chinese company will layoff the remaining workforce and delegate to china. They want the brand not the talent. Besides, the leaders that should provide clear vision on the next breakthrough, they are blind and working to keep their jobs...
hmm... not likely that motorola will recover with or without google help.
if you do not produce something unique, you will always compete on price. And there are other phonemakers that can play this game, like xiami, htc, and others.
moto is far away to win this game.
