Never, ever make what you do so clear and so documented such that anyone less capable than you can simply pick it up and make "enhancements" to it easily. Because if they are able to do that, management math will tell you that they will think you can be easily replaced at 1/8 the cost by some outsourcing firm. And they'll try to do it.
