Thread regarding Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. layoffs

In one breath >> "We care - we're all about employee engagement, & satisfaction!" BS!! apparently it's not what you know or how great you're doing your job! It's who you know - clear out upper mgmt & then pull the folks who do care, together & make a difference! It's a crying shame about the talent which has been let go over this past quarter!! HUGE loss!! They probably will be bought out by end of year!

They failed to mention that they lost a 10 million dollar law suit in October 2014.

They had a layoff in Oct 2014, January 2015, March, and again in May. Well over 1000 people have been laid off.

All while the suffering sales have occured, they sent the sales team AND their spouses to St. Thomas for a week.

Trying to save face while turning the lives of over 1000 people upside down.

Don't NOW try to claim profits are up. If they are, they ONLY are because of the exponential number of people that have been let go all over the country.

No one at Allscripts is being 'transparent' as Paul Black would like to claim. Many of those let go were promised just before that layoffs were done and over...only to be let go days later. Additionally, Allscripts is trying to gain space in a high end part of Raleigh in a new 18 story building that is still being built. Very expensive real estate.

-all at the cost of their employees & users.« less

Grow up who ever is taking bad about Indian, Grow up. I pity you, for loosing your job but dont blame Indians for the lose.

I feel to laugh on your thinking. You Americans blame others for everything bad thing happened to you all.

Great going, which wil lead you no where with no jobs

This wave is not over yet. Expect it to escalate this week now that the secrets out

The writing has been on the wall for some time now. Management won't admit it, but it is blatantly obvious that one by one all support jobs are going to India. Al you have to do is look at any of the product org charts - the US names are dwindling while the India names are growing. And they want the US based people who know what they are doing to "train down" - what they mean is train your replacements. I used to be proud to work here, but the whole company has become one big joke. I feel sorry for the customers who pay large sums of money for mediocre at best support. I'm sure the next wave will be coming in another 6-8 weeks. Reminds me of what happened with Compaq/HP.

Paul Black & cronies are LIARS - mgmt says one thing yet does another... US staff pay the price for loyalty & hard work by being laid off this week!! So much for job security! Watch your back, your position might be next! Had I realized sooner, I would have used my 200+ PTO hours - I feel robbed, betrayed & kicked to the curb, by a company I once believed in... this SUCKS!!

Allscripts does not care about their customers or their employees. It is blatantly obvious in the fact that even though EVERY SINGLE customer I speak with is eternally grateful I am in the US and speak English and have the knowledge and background to fix their problem in one phone call - that the insecure, pompous, lying, egotistical managers/directors and MOST ESPECIALLY JOHN MAYR - will fire every single US employee and replace them with poor substitutes in India. And you and I both know why - to PAD their pockets with more money. India staff is dirt cheap. So fire the knowledgeable competent US staff and replace them with pitiful substitutes.

Shame on you. Shame on you Jesse Tripp for POINT blank LYING to us about "no more lay offs at this time" not SIX weeks ago and then today? TWO hundred and FIFTY US employees gone.

Shame on you. Shame on all of you.

You'll get yours someday. I hope it's soon. VERY soon.

Damn! I wish I had known another layoff was coming. I would have dumped my stock in Allscripts. It isn't going to be worth anything after this latest fiasco. Another loss generated by the losers who run the company...

Doing research on this since I got home. Looks like all support will be based out of India by the end of next year

Mass layoffs in a short amount of time usually indicate a merger or buyout.

The company is continuing to lay off some of its best workers, while keeping some of its worst.

There will be additional changes coming. John Mayer will be running support soon. The buddy system, specifically in Pro Support, must be broken. It's essentially several insecure middle-aged men circle jerking each other to climb to the top.
