We were notified today that the school is being taught out! Some were told it was their last day, some of us found out when our last day would be. We are a tight group and will get through it but it's the students I feel bad for.

I'm not from Chicago but Larry Brueck was our regional a few years back. I didn't know he went back to Chicago, I thought he left the company. He was tough when we had drops but always seemed like a decent guy. Our Dean would probably disagree though.
Poor Larry Brueck.
YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! KOSSUBA IS AN IDIOT!
Regrettably I agree with 690. I've noticed the trend over the last few years myself. Enrollment numbers are way down at all career schools whether they are for-profit or non-profit. The younger generation of today is being swayed towards 4 year colleges and directed away from career schools. Also the starting salaries for most career school graduates are far below that of 4 year college graduates. It looks like the career school is a dying breed. If Zenith continues on there will be more RIFs and school closings. By the way, I am one of those that were handed my walking papers last week after 15 years service to Wyotech.
748 - but but but but they work for zenith now hahahaha...
Forgive my ignorance, but what school is Chicago? I work for Zenith online, are we connected?
Why? You where warned three months ago.
So sorry to hear. Is this for all Chicago schools or just Melrose?
3 years ago I would have agreed with you. She was over her head. But things have cleaned up since then. Now our preside t keeps people in line and got rid of all of the morons and brought in people that actually know what they are doing. And can say no to students who cant read! It is (was) a fun campus. Back to my job search! Anyone hiring???
The whole sector has hit a wall, frankly without jobs paying better and being created in both a lot more volume and quality there is no way a student is going to get any kind of ROI for the time and money spent. The stats for people who graduated over the last 10 years are pretty bad and finding another job in the same field is probably setting yourself up for more pain down the road.
So terrible! Blame your directed and president for this though.
Definitely a hard day, hopefully finding a new job won't be too difficult
