So the long sad Email from Troy and Dave today. After yesterday how can anyone believe anything said. When 6 weeks ago they stood it front of us and said there would be no layoffs. I am out of here. It's what they want anyway.

No trust here. Actually, no communication from Zenith/ ECMC hirer ups to new Zenith higher ups. What exactly is transparency again???? There's more to the story then meets the eye.

839 - it is about business smarts. You should have left the company the minute they asked you to work for no pay and when you have determined that there are no plans to grow or even sustain the company. That is called business smarts.
815 this is not about business smarts, this is about the ruthless way it was done. There are no plans in place to improve enrollment either. By the way this went down do you think anyone will trust these people again? Anyone left will be looking for new jobs and leave as soon as they find one. I hope this B.S. backfires on them and students and staff run for the hills. The remaining students are already talking about leaving and will not believe anything management tells them.
What continues to amaze me is the lack of business knowledge from people in this world. Less starts = less money to pay employees. You don't work for a government entity; if a company is losing money, they can't give you a 5% raise and not care about starts.
On the other hand, a case could be made that the real plan was to acquire all of the California campuses once the political pressure on Kamala Harris got her to back down and then try to get everything moving forward from that point. Clearly that bet didn't pay off because CCi could not wait it out any longer and collapsed. The schools in CA were lost and with them the need to carry all of this extra people needed to run them after a merger. What was Zenith supposed to do? The layoff isn't a surprise although the people selected might be. I agree with others that have posted that the Zenith rolls need to be purged of the old CCI faithful and their way of thinking.If we are to survive things have to change and fast.
I think Troy lost a lot of credibility in everyone's eyes on this one. I don't know how the campus's will continue with such small numbers. Workers are already putting in so much time and stressed to the max. Now 2-3 other people's work added to the pile. Future does not look so bright!

They got rid of a lot of people, they allowed CCI crooks (divisionals and RVPO's) to stay on, they still didn't do anything about a good entrance exam, we still have students who can't read or write, and more importantly THEY DON't CARE.

656 Yes campus numbers are low. Have you heard how they are going to fix that? Just general B-S in Troy's letter. Really feel like they are just dangling a carrot to keep us around until the end. 1000 people rode this out. Were good little worker ants. Yesterday was their thank-you.
If you listened to Troy carefully he did say no layoff's for now. that was 3 months ago. Its sad they had to do it but campus numbers are so low i dont think they had a choice.
Dam.... do you work at my Campus because that shit is going on here. The President is related to someone and the RVPO is related to someone as well. Neither got RIFF.... ah SHIT!!!
These people are total liars and they only care about their money and egos. They RIFF people almost randomly. They kept the ones who kiss up and are friends and relatives of school presidents/RVPO. Who you know prevailed again over what you know.
