Thread regarding ECMC layoffs

Been there.

I think that there is no long term plan. My campus was already right sized before the buyout. We were operating with a skeleton crew a month before the deal was completed. A big number of good employees were let go who were waiting for the new company so we could change for the better But were never given the opportunity. I believe the deal was done with 1 goal in mind. Grad or drop as many students as possible, lay off as many employees as possible, then close the schools after the students debts were lowered as much as possible. Don't enroll, cut overhead, and do a teach out without calling it that. Then ECMC gets to collect on all the debt. Just saying, they may not be as smart as they think they are. Some people can see through the BS . If you still work for Zenith, I suggest you plan for new employment. Zenith will not last long by plan. Good luck.

Hallelujah, OP has taken a hit off the reality bong. And at this point, nobody can do better than collecting on the debt. Debt is all that is left. Wake up America!

That is what ECMC is, not an educational company. Don't be fooled. Get what money there is to pay the 24 million, from that point forward all debt collected is profit. AND the DOE gets some relief from their part of the mess. I would also bet that the amount of loan forgiveness will not be as high as the students would like. Let's see who is right in a few weeks.

Collect on the debt, really? You can do better than that.
