Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

I worked for Devon for about 5 years and was always amazed at the word "Reorg". Devon-Just because you don't use the word "Layoff" doesn't mean you not letting people go on a regular basis- So drop that "we don't lay people off" out of your pamphlet\speeches. I would also have an attorney check into the "layoff", oops I mean "Reorg". When I was there-Three out of four times it "seemed" the person that was let go was 'older' making more money. I am not privy to the ones let go this time, but see if it follows the same pattern. I feel for all that were let go, and I know I cannot make you feel any better. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.
