Don't worry, the class sizes are being reduced. Unfortunately so are the instructors. Smaller classes mean less instructors are needed. Enrollment numbers are at an all-time low so it sounds like most of you will get your wish for smaller classes. Keep wishing for smaller classes and hopefully you'll get what you wish for. NO STUDENTS AND NO FACULTY. Total idiots that work for Zenith.

Do we have PLs? I hardly hear from mine. She rarely replies to email. She sends two emails a week and holds two meetings a week. Maybe she is helping with marketing and enrollments?
982, with another RIF coming you be expected to do even more, if you make it through the RIF. The campus I was let go from have the instructors operating the library and making all the student calls. They are even expected to restock the rest rooms with paper towels and toilet paper because all but one janitor was terminated.
I don't think they are useless, just mismanaged. The PL position was created to help with outreach, not to micromanage the teachers. I don't know when that changed, but it created a very toxic environment. If they are only teaching one or two classes, the PLs should pick up all the tutoring, group and individual, and all the outreach. That would give instructors time to work with the students in their classrooms, and put more time into grading. I would personally be much more effective in my classrooms if I wasn't spending 10-15 hours a week doing outreach and tutoring other teachers' students. I could respond to every discussion post, and provide more personal comments in the gradebook. I would actually have time to work with my students, the ones who signed off on the loans, do their homework, and show up every day to learn. I could do my job, the job I was hired to do, instead of everyone else's.

OP=ignorant idiot. However, IF you have been instructing more than a term or mod then you are correct- YOUR PD, PL or Dean should be fired if they allowed you to continue as an instructor.
Reduced class sizes = reduced need for faculty= more RIFs. . Give current enrollment trends, that seems to be very likely. 847 = another clueless dork with no business sense or concern for anyone outside their very tiny universe. Be careful what you ask for.......
Thanks for the laugh. How are these two groups any different than the faculty? Every group contains good and bad employees. I have discovered those who go on and on about how hard they work, are usually the least productive.
