someone on here posted earlier to the "god this is boring" comment that another round of layoffs will happen on July 6th. Does anyone know if this has been verified or is it just an opinion?

It happened on July 1st. PLs are gone, as are lots of PDs and FTFs. They didn't even bother to keep the good instructors. They just eliminated an entire group with no rhyme or reason.
In my opinion, this is verified......
They will not tell you when you are layed off, they hold a meeting and give you paperwork. Meanwhile the leaders hide in their offices hoping no one realizes they have no idea what is going on. Collecting pay checks.
A July 6th date is a stupid assumption. This is assuming you've completed all your grades from the Spring term and had them submitted. My guess is if it is going to happen, you'll know by July 9th or the 10th. The last time instructors were "laid off" it was on the Friday of Week 0, not the Monday of Week 0, and we did not get any notification of new courses prior to that time.
That is when Week 0 begins so if instructors are laid off that would be the week it would happen.
