b>, only 2 weeks for Avago package even after 20 years! For real? Anyone else can confirm it? Several of my layoff coworkers leaving on 8/14 with >13 years service are getting 6mths + 1.5mth retention. Total 7.5mths!
avago package is 2 weeks even if you have worked there for 20 years. The reason you didn't get the package via elx is because it's much cheaper to give you avgo package. let just say you have been hocked!
Anyone knows what Avago pays for its layoff package? I'm the unlucky one that is not layoff by the generous Emulex 2 weeks for a year package.
I know one of the "friends" - Bill Caldwell. Never achieved anything for emulex since the day i joined, but he is so called "friend". He should be "hocked" soon. He is a leech, sucking the life blood out of the company.
Friends are still intact. So many great engineers leaving. I feel like quitting and just retiring instead of working for sucky management. 80 % layoff is right on. More is coming per the rumors.
It depends on what package Broadcom employees will get. Avago package is really bad. Emulex employees got emulex package. 80 % of US workforce was cut at emulex. LSI was similar.

must be brcm employee looking at elx to see what the future holds. I can tell ya elx notice came 2nd day after deal closes. most people get 2 weeks pay for every yr of service, 2 weeks for every month they were asked to stay after notice, get nothing if they leave before assigned date. the stay are 3 months or 6 months depending on how much Hock Tan misses them. it is like a long hock-cation because they aren't really working.
