Field Application Engineers to be let go in summer 2015

I overheard a talk between two VPs this week. The company is looking at letting a number of FAEs go this summer. Intel feels that their IoT sales group can handle the load that FAEs now carry.

So let her poor decisions and behavior be hers. Don't let it affect you.

160004 - you're right. Sorry about that, I've just seen what she's done over the years, and the stress of this past week got to me.

I wanted to post this before going into work. I don't know if we are looking at any layoffs due to Intel taking over work in the IOTG space, but it does look like Intel is advertising for managers and solution providers for IOTG.

I also want to say this: whoever posted in the 2014 thread recently about "dead wood" being eliminated by RIFs, you didn't need to go there. Things happen in our industry and people being let go is part of life and the business. There is no reason to get personal or insulting toward anyone, whether they be current or former employees. I still talk with former Wind employees on a regular basis and am glad they are still open to sharing ideas and keeping good relationships going. So, to whoever you are that posted a day ago - Anonymous 105404, 105405 and 105406 - try seeing things from that perspective.

It's accurate. I saw a few emails about it. Intel Internet of Things managers are discussing taking over some duties from WRS staff.

I wrote the original post. No crystal ball. I don't know who will be laid off. I overheard a conversation between senior managers that referred to FAEs being let go. I don't know how accurate it was.

How do you know who and when will be laid off? Crystal ball?
