Allscripts has officially fired over 1000 employees in the last 7 months. These are mostly from the services support area that include call support, education services, installation consultants and managers for the products of Touchworks, Professional and Sunrise. They have realigned staff and have positioned themselves for even more fireings to start the next quarter. All the while Mr. Black, the CEO, is reporting that losses are being cut in the face of "expected shortfalls" in the complete lack of new contract sales. The stock price is going up now as reflexive of the sudden reduction in losses but no one is explaining how those loss reductions are accumulating. It's being done by reducing the workforce - even in the face of increased wages for the upper management. So, apparently, in order to afford to give himself a raise, Paul Black has required the removal of over 1000 employees. 200 of those losses came from the Raleigh-Durham area. More are on the way.

At the town hall meeting, John Mayr will be announced as directly taking over Support. He will become Jesse Tripp's new boss. That's one foot out the door for Jesse.

Company likes to use the word transparent and reading the definition of it where it states "without appreciable scattering so that bodies lying around.." As well as a few other examples listed I can see why they like to use this word!
