Thread regarding Allscripts Healthcare Solutions Inc. layoffs

Allscripts pre misys merger

Is it not amazing that prior to the misys merger allscripts had no problems with customer satisfaction and no problems selling pro products and employees were generally happy and it was all being done with 0 outsourcing. Once outsourcing came into the picture you have lost control of the wheel and now the chaos that is occurring is just going to keep gettting worse. The company needs to shed all outsourcing regroup. Go back to private status as stocks are your focus. Definitely not the customer. And rehire back the real skilled workers that were forced out or made so unhappy they left on their own. Allscripts didnt keep pace with salaries compared to equal positions in this sector and allowed the high skilled people to gain experience and then leave for the higher paying jobs elsewhere while allscripts retained the least skilled or experienced staff who then were instructed to train the india teams. Blind leading the blind. You have people in higher level roles that are incompetent but won those roles simply because the people around them left so they win by default.

From the Misys perspective, the same is true. All was going along fine until the merger and outsourcing. I would go back if they go their act together (I left on my own after 16 yrs, but it was hard, because I had been "raised" at Medic with Holiday parties, beer Fridays, training weeks offsite, a motto and slogan that didn't change every third day. Training and mentoring people in my office who came into our role. Our support departments were cohesive, creative, fun, results driven. All of that has been lost - they've slowly eroded loyalty of customers and now of employees.

I doubt anyone let go would come back. They have already moved on and are happy from what I often hear. They have ruined what was, not possible to get clients back now. It has gone too far to recover.

I can only imagine where they would be today if Santa Cloz didn't bring us an India middle class for Christmas that year.
