Syntel has fired around 6000 employees and now they stopped firing. They did'nt have any projects to accommodate bench people. So they decided to fire some people, no criteria and no justice to the employees. Fired the people who has rating in E20s by saying that you are browsing flipkart. Worst company i have ever seen. If they want to layoff the employees, they should have a strategy and it should be made clear to the employees. Then nobody feels insecure unless they fall under the layoff criteria. Now Syntel is firing without criteria and strategy, settingup a new trend in IT. ofcourse nobody cares about syntel as it is a worst company and block listed some years ago.

All those who posted comments and are affected by Syntel's cruel action, lets contact and meet at some common point. Chennai guys have logged a complaint against Syntel. why cant we unite and do something ?

Syntel is worst employer in IT , I agree their is no system and process in this organisation and people are getting promoted only on basis of partiality and GM and Senior Manager are given a free hand...
B5 B6 and above grade people are doing the things as they wish.
Its a third grade company and only retains third class resources who are good for nothing....
Think hundred times before joining this company.

HRs are also a pile of stinking garbage in Syntel!!! They do what they are told to do by the upper management. The Syntel will remain the same if they don't fire the top management because it's their failure that they were not able to retain the clients / Projects, not the developers. All the talented pool of programmers already left Syntel. My experience, 1) Syntel, a company where filling the excels and licking the PM's, DM's boot is more important for promotion rather than delivering quality code and getting appreciations from clients. 2) Syntel, a company where when you perform well technically, it's said by the PMs/DMs that this was already expected from you!!! What extra you did? (He is trying to say "Did you filled up my excels? Licked my ass?") 3) Syntel, a company where a single resource/Developer/Analyst Programmer is managed by 3 Leads, 2 PMs and 1 DM and at the time of Appraisal in one on one rating, the developer being questioned by all these assholes, Did you bring the business to the company? Motherfuckers, asshole morons, if a developer is responsible for bringing the business then what the hell are you doing in Syntel?? Taking Fat pay checks and resting your asses in the private cabin???? 4) Syntel, a company where technically proficient guy forgets his skills in the next two years and become proficient in filling excel only!!! 5) There is a lot of favorism in Syntel. Promotions are given based on the caste, colour, creed and regionality of an individual. All the above reasons are responsible for Syntel loosing the projects. Because the truth is there are only excel filling professionals left in the company rather than an expert coder. Since promotion is decided based on the excel work you do in the account, all the coders transformed themselves into excel professional and all those who don't wanted to compromise, move away from Syntel in different organizations and they are very happy ;) Honest Advice to Freshers: Never ever join this bogus company if you don't want to become a puppet of management's hand and ruin your technical skills. Rather than joining Syntel, Prefer joining some small organisations and sharpen your technical skills because at scenarios like this where my present brothers and sisters in Syntel are fired, it's the technical skills that will count when you search for the job, no one will ask you how many slides you prepared, how many WSR /MSR / PMR you have created. Be wise and take a smart decision!!! My heart goes with all those folks who lost their jobs in Syntel. I wish them good luck and may they get everything in other organization which they deserve and didn't get
