SANTA ANA, CA—Saying that both options would involve unwanted and burdensome investments of time and energy, Jack Massimino reported Tuesday that his six-year relationship with Heald College had come to the point where closing or getting sold would each be an equally big hassle. “Neither one of us is really ready to close, but to be honest, it wouldn’t be any easier for us to deal with a sale and reentering the corporate scene than it would be to organize an entire teach out and plan out my future without Heald ,” said Massimino, adding that the he had reached a place where spending months selecting new houses, vacations, and how to spend his lump sum balloon payment would be just as big a headache as deciding doing what’s right for the students that want to stay in school and complete their degrees. “At this stage, I’m just kind of stuck here in Santa Ana”. Jack said he was at least comforted by the fact that he is confident that doing absolutely nothing is a good thing.

My interaction with Jack was very indicative of the CCI/Heald mantra, you know supportive, caring. His squeeze had just enough pressure to let me know... Jack cares.
