Syntel has decided to fire 6000 in the month of April. No one knows the exact reason behind why Syntel is acting in such a way. Poor company targeting to reach 1 million dollars company from 2009. Now today even in 2015 they are not able to reach this target found only option to reach 1 million dollar mark only by firing the resources.

No one knows the criteria on which bases the a resource is fired. HR walks to the resource desk and say that today is your last working day.

When resource ask for an explanation the response he got was this is confidential we cant tell you. Mean you are getting sued and the reason for that is so called Confidential Very funny. It doesn't matter how critical you are, How much work you have done in the past,even if you have your H1B stamped or you are nominated for H1B(where most of the applications were not sent this year due to the layoff) no matter who you are you can be part of the layoff. Be ready for that.

I saw most of my friends been fired in the last two weeks and the count is still on, One way i feel very bad for the, All this days they have done a lot for Syntel and in return Syntel have given a beautiful gift for them for its successful completion of 35 years and the other way i feel they are lucky,Now the people who are fired may be jobless for maximum 1 month and definitely they would be in a better position after 6 months, Thinking thanks to Syntel for firing me on that day. And Syntel will be in the same positing again trying to reach 1 million dollar brand which would never happen

The problem with the Syntel is the management. We have people in higher level who are in Syntel for 10 to 15 years who does nothing but just take salary on time with high package and dump there work on their lower resources. Most of the projects moved out of Syntel Because of the poor Management. Finally when call comes saying we will have to fire 6000 resources we see only people who are of 1 to 5 years experience resources are targeted. I saw people people who got fired who has just joined in Syntel. When your Moto is to fire why do you hire Syntel. When Syntel is not able to show a project for them they would definitely be on bench. Resources being on bench is not a resource problem but the organization problem as they are not able to find a project for them.

And now i see all the resources in the company including me have started uploading there resumes in the Job portals and obviously the new ones would never prefer to join Syntel.

After 6 months Syntel would definitely be in need or resource and they will end up hiring resources who are not worst. Then as rumors are already in place that Syntel is planning to sell it off, that would become true.

Well lets see how things go in the future days. Hope best for all the people who were part of the layoff and who are still suffering in Syntel

If cost is the issue. Nitish Rakesh should cut down his salary to 50% before making such layoff decisions. This shows how Amateur he is. People who run the business are these poor chaps.

I was with syntel for 2.3 yrs & my experience was not so much good. They say u shd never say bad words about your first company bt what will say abt such organization which makes u believe that the only way for scess in IT company is doing dirty politics. I have seen the guyz who show interest in shc politics more than coding. Appraisals are a mere joke as your manager gets changes when your appraisal is due & they forcefully give you bad ratings. Visas are nominated fr chamchas & awards are only for luring more & more shoe lickers. By the grace of God I could leave syntel a month ago & now I get mesaages frm my frnds abt hw my decision ws correct.

I am a b.e graduate with 55% marks.could try only for Syntel. Idont know but I can imagine how much hurt you people are.

I just wanted to know whether will we get doj as all previous batches from got.and we were the next ones unfortunately these layoff started.

Just wanted to ask you Syntel is my only option as an MNC .I m trying hard to get in govt job ..

Hello Anand, May be someone would have used your name to comment in this form but the posts written here are never baseless. Syntel layoff is baseless.

And you were talking about Syntel's Image. Can you explain even if SYNTEL had one ???.. May be you are from the PM DM level or you are one of the very few who got benefited by Syntel. People who's family members, friends are Fired for no reason post there feeling and you say that to be baseless is not at all fair.

Syntel have power to fire it doesn't mean Syntel can play with the employees in such a cheap manner. At the time of hiring they give so many false promises and from the day one you get used to the false promises which your manager give are baseless. Today still be receive mails from the CEO and President for celebrating its 35 years with the comments "Once again, thank you for the remarkable 35 years and I look forward to many more milestones to celebrate!"

Who cares even if you complete 35 years or 100 years when you treat employee as a insect. What's happening in syntel today is the number of Software engineers are less and the number of Leads manager's DM and DD's are high in number and no one would dare to touch them. A software engineer would be monitored by 4 leads 2 managers and 1 DM. Finally at the end of the day they can only put pressure on the resource but can never get the outcome.

Well if the employees who are in Syntel and the who left Syntel start talking about the issues in it that would be an Endless and a baseless topic.

You can never find growth in Syntel, By this time may be everyone is aware of what is happening in Syntel. Lets hope for the bright future of the once who are been fired and lets see where the Syntel end up.

I would want to bring it to one and alls attention that a lot of the posts written here are baseless. What is shocking is that people are using names of other people/employees to post derogatory remarks about Syntel with the single motive to tarnish Syntel's image. Please do not go by the names of the individuals that have been used whilst making these posts. No individual would put his name on a post when he has the ability to make an anonymous post if he wants to post.

I've had a very long association with Syntel and was surprised to see some nasty comments being posted using my name. There would be similar posts that would have been made using other employee names. These posts are totally baseless.

Syntel has its own issues. Its a huge animal carrying its own kind of diseases. The management is corrupt from top to the bottom, Communism, regionalism and favoritism is deep rooted in the system. Its true that Syntel does not have the courage to hunt its caged lions (Upper management\Bosses) and therefore went on this rabbit hunt spree. I worked in that company for four years and now away from the mess (Thankfully!). I know how badly the management chooses the candidates like open buffet dishes. Although you try hard, very soon you will see some chamcha getting better rewards than you. Most of the training and management activities are used as tool to fulfill such deeds. So if you choose wrong people then you suffer losses and then you do more bull$h!t like this. Its a failure of management and not of the people. Lets hope that the guys will get the best opportunities outside but its a shame on Syntel and its management.

I have worked with this company for almost 4 year.7 Month back I left this company. How can they do like this with the people having experience 1 to 5 year.

If they wants to lay off the people then target the B4 and B5 band people. These people are worthless. They are just try to be dictator.

Even I also left....Unko ko employees ki thodi padi hai...unko to sirf khudka dollars millions se Trillions karna hai....

chaye wo phir jo unhe paisa kama ke de raha hai unka ghar base ya uthe, unake upar home loan hai ya phir chote bacche hai...maa baap ko sabalna hai...kisi ke ghrame kisako shaddi karna hai...for that they dont have care.... organization owner will distribut the trillion dollars in haven...

Just I came to know my brother also laid off feom punw ttalwade office , even he s having H1B visa stamped for 3 years & waiting for us project.. All his dreams collapae in a day.. Sad for him. Guys create one twitter hastag & full with tweets..snytel has look for place to hide..

Yes the news is true. Even I was Layed off from Pune GDC Office despite of getting good ratings. But the news is not yet Public in media because no one knows or cares about Syntel. Its a forgotten IT Company.

May be this is how the company wants to gain negative publicity
