Thread regarding Heald College layoffs

Good Luck Getting Another Job in Education

Our reputation is as trashed as Heald's. Teachers in particular will now have to explain this on their resume, and will never be hired at another higher ed institution.

Stay until you can get unemployment, so at least you can pay rent while looking for work in some completely different field.

I seem to recall that Everest instructors hasd similar concerns, but many of them landed new jobs, mostly in non-profit schools.

Possibly adjunct classes but certainly not full time.

Don't listen to the OP. I'm a Heald instructor who already got 2 classes at the local community college for the fall. They didn't care at all about the Heald mess. Yes, you can only get part time classes, and you may have to work at more than 1 school to make ends meet, but opportunities are out there.
