Come on give thatoneguy a break. He is probably one of these young kids, who has never been in a layoff before. Take it from someone who has seen this happen many times. When the oil prices drop like a rocket, this is what happens. This is a learning experience for all. Don't go out and spend, spend, spend buying homes, cars and play toys always be prepared for the what if. This is not the most stable industry it's only good for awhile. And then it bad. And right now it's really bad, it is still not over there will be more in the near future. Hang on to your boots the boom is going to bust.
To: Theoneguy specifically, Have you had your head in the Sand? This has all been going on for a long long time now. This continuous Cutback and or down sizing has been going on and you either choose to ignore it, on you are totally inept which one is it? By the way you aren't in control of anything like heavy machinery, lifting devises or anything like that are you?

I heard OKC was gonna take a hit on Monday. They have lost millions of projected $$$'s in cancelled orders as well as many orders pushed to the right. Sorry for you folks that were hurt by this. Take a couple of days off and start a new chapter.
I haven't heard anything about Ville Platte...but in OKC they laid off 3 people from the office area (including an engineer), 2 machinists, a supervisor, and a scrap yard driver...
