Walmart apparently has notified CompuCom they are not going to retain them for the services that CompuCom still provides to Walmart, namely server and software support. This almost guarantees layoffs are coming to the company. I want outsiders to know this is the result of piss poor management and unrealistic deadlines set by the contract negotiators. I've been dispatched to work tickets three hours away on priority call notice... with a deadline to troubleshoot and rectify the issue at hand of two hours. How intelligent is that? What this translates to is the deadline is past prior to even arriving on site. CompuCom's "Walmart critical team" is about the most incompetent group of "managers" I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They would just call technicians and constantly hammer for updates on trouble tickets versus read the information that was already in the Clearvision system (which the techs took the time to type up).
CompuCom needs to majorly clean up its act or it's not going to survive. I cant get out of there fast enough.
