Yes, a friend of mine was told by her friend, that out of all the faculty laid off on Friday, ONE person was allowed to move from a PL to adjunct. Yes, this one person as I was told was in SLS - Life Skills. Imagine what this one person must have done to earn this reward. I worked with this person as a PL and with my ten years with Everest, I was not allowed this reward. This person was surely the most incompetent PL we had on the team. What a shame to keep this person. Must have done something special for the current PD in Life Skills.

She is a wonderful person and until you know the background of what happened to her situation, don't talk about what you don't know. She stood by me in some of the most challenging situations and never wavered in her support for what I was fighting against. She even told me to show the information that would put the blame on her so she would take the heat instead of me. She is amazing and I am proud to say she was my PL for years, and she is still my friend. No one needs to know her name because it isn't your business. Know that her team will stand behind her gladly and just so you know, her entire team was laid off and not one of us feels bad that she was able to not only become an adjunct but that she also got 1 class (1 CLASS) this term. So unless you worked with her, or had her as your PL or you know what happened specifically... this topic is closed.
So much hate... If you are really so great, than it should be easy for you to find another job. I was laid off too, and it sucks. I am happy that some people were able to keep their jobs. There is no point being jealous. It just makes you look petty and immature.
I know the person you are referring to, and you do not know the whole story of why they became adjunct. I worked on this PLs team for a long time, and they were great, and deserves to still have a job, as do many of us that we're laid off.
Stop being a hater, and be happy for your colleagues that are fortunate enough to still have an income.

I'd love an update of who is left. Some of those kept can barely tie their shoes without help while excellent PLs and FTF were cut.
