Syntel is firing resources as 6000 employee are suddenly put on bench due to ramp down of project from one of the biggest account.
The firing started after the release of rating. In 1st week of April around 100 employees were asked to resign.

Numbers are certainly more than 6000 but not less than it. The company should be ashamed.
Is these figures exxagerated or correct? Firing is clear, but the number seems to be wrong...will get a clear picture on next quarter results

I guess it is happening due to ramping down by AMEX for all its vendors, since Syntel has almost 40% revenue from AMEX, it is natural that it is suffering the most

Already syntel security is pathetic. Every time calling you from behind sir you don't have permission to cut cake in cafeteria or garden area. you need extra permission to do this. sometimes i feel security have more permission than managers. not only that they open each any every parcel received from online shopping sites as if they have sent us bombs.

i am one who affected who worked hard for the last 4 years , forced to resign and not allowed to get in to my floor,
whorst day in my life, never ever treated as a human being, finally not allowed me to go to canteen to have my lunch, security asked to get my belongings.

In Pune itself the number were 3400 when I was asked to leave on 14th April 2015. This is what HR confirmed to me. This figure excludes Chennai and Mumbai offices where the figures are more. Also excluding on-site employees.
Yes agreed...I worked for this company sone years back...and coming to syntel was the biggest mistake of my life..this company is not employee friendly
Nothing is fake.syntel is firing people at will...a small outsourcing company headquartered in USA firing of 6000 employees is a big deal. This shows that syntel's management and leadership is inefficient
