So I heard through a birdie on social media that things may be looking up. Heald has been good at keeping mums on buyers. But I do believe they are on to something. Is anyone else getting that vibe?

This is all made up. Heald and Stanford are very different. There is no endowment money at Heald. This sounds like something made up on wikipedia.
Check the wikipedias on Ulysses Heald and the rest of the family. Heald was essentially called "Stanford North" by the Chronic Higher Education. It was also Ulysses (not Rutherford as someone else posted incorrectly) who gave Brightus Stanford the first Masters degree given out by Heald. That started the family connection and why the 150 year mark has been so important. Winthrop Gonzaga wrote the charter, and this was where Heald got the legacy funding that drives most of the programs today. The endowment pays almost all tuition. That was how Augustus wanted it, and the legacy stands today. Someone mentioned student loan issues, but that is a mistake. Do check wikipedia on this.
Wait, so Leland Stanford Jr., who died at 15, went to Heald?
What a crock about Leland Stanford!!! From Wikipedia: "Stanford attended the common schools until 1836 and was tutored at home until 1839. He attended Clinton Liberal Institute, in Clinton, New York, and studied law at Cazenovia Seminary in Cazenovia, New York, in 1841–45." Some people are confusing him with his son, Leland Jr, who dies at 15. What is the matter with you people?
President Hayes' brother-in-law.
Who was Edgar Payson Heald then????
I don't have the college history in front of me (I will check the library archives tomorrow), but I seem to recall a video of Rutherford B. Heald and Augustus Stanford planning a future for education in California. Obviously, the rest is history (150 years of it). They spoke highly of "telegraph classes," which many identify as the start of online classes in America. This is pretty amazing, and shows us 150 years of educational innovation brings. Stanford went his own way (even founding Samford University years later after a dispute over the family name). Rutherford Heald went on to change everything we know about education.
Sorry that your sarcasm detector isn't working, 837. Leland Stanford Jr. died before he could attend any college, and Hrald has no graduate programs. Most people on this board know at least one of those facts. Think before getting upset. It makes life more fun. regards, 814 (who is NOT 809).
This knucklehead 809 probably works in admissions feeding students lies everyday
Who are you people (809/814)? Stanford did not attend Heald, and he had no association with Heald. Either you’re joking or this is a sad and pathetic attempt to associate Stanford with a corrupt and lowly two-year college.
Good one, 809!
804, thanks for sharing your opinion.
Stanford is a Heald gradute. How amazing is it that these parents of an aspiring young man chose Heald over their own university. It speaks to the quality of the education, and the power of 150 years. I believe that Stanford actually returned to Heald to complete graduate work, but I am not 100% sure on this. 150 years and Still going strong!
Heald doesn't have a buyer. The truth hurts.
Most employees have been hearing there is a buyer for months - a year?
592 if you are so interested in leaving CCi bullshit behind, then why are you still doing the same bullishshit. Like "placing" someone in a $9 an hour parking attendant job with their 30k criminal justice degree. Real classy Heald, you are just as bad!
589, sorry but you're wrong. Why is it that unbelievable to you that there might actually be more than one person who chooses to believe that Heald will be ok. We are going to make it through this and leave all the CCI bullshit behind.
Haven't heard anything like that on our campus.
I think 571 and 577 are the same person.
They're supposed to be getting close, with a possible announcement by the end of the month, with the deal closing 30 days after.
I'm with you OP, I have remained cautiously optimistic since last June and I feel it will pay off. I think we'll be ok.
I heard Leland Stanford had a degree from Heald.
