Got transferred to a new team using all new tools but not given time to learn them. I was over 50 when they let me go. Told me I "didn't know anything about IT" which I had been doing for over 20 years and constantly trying to keep my skills current with new tools. Didn't matter because I was older than anyone else on my team.
