Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Delayering?

Okay so did they delayer at all? Or was it just more buzzwords to try convince the investors that Citrix is actually doing something and has a vision? Over in Services, I mean "Sales" and Services it used to be like three hops to from an employee to Mitch Parker (employee -> manager -> director/sr.director -> Mitch). Under Captain Football's management basically have the same amount of employees but middle management (layers) have exploded and it is still the case that its employee -> manager -> sr. manager -> director -> sr. director -> VP -> head of department.

In services it definitely was more about get ridding of indians than chiefs (removing layers). Just wondering if was like that everywhere?

In product engineering there was a good amount of middle management impacted. There was some very high profile cuts at director/vp level.

Delayering is reducing the number of layers between the normal employee and the department head (decision maker).

So instead of having a SVP, VP, Sr. Dir, Dir, Sr. Mgr, Mgr and then employee (6 layers of management between you and your department head) cutting it down to like 3 or 4 layers of management.

Nope. Layers retained with plenty of yes men to keep the FTL execs happy and receiving the answers they want
