A Heald IT graduate complained to the Dean that the only job he could find was working at McDonalds getting the response : "Operating a cash register is programming a computer and thus you are employed in the booming IT field".

Go easy on Matt, he's the president of a campus that has at least 20 students. Do you know how stressful that must be?
883 - agreed. We had a training back in the days (2011/2012) where they used this specific scenario as NOT acceptable
There is no way anyone in Heald career services would consider working on Windows based POS systems is in the iT field.
I have taught for a few of these places. The schools themselves are fine. They hire good people, and the class curriculum is as good as any other college. The students are the issue. I could be a nobel prize winner in economics with 5 books and my own business, but when a student starts a test answer with "they is busines many..." it all goes out the window. Even if I somehow got the student through the course with every trick and bit of hard work I know, what business is going to hire this person after graduation? Judge Smales had it right.
@73412 than your as useless as Matt Ormond is. He was laid off when CCI acquired Heald and Eeva begged the than CIO to find a place for Matt. His skills were assessed as useless which were also validated by John Richmond before he was fired. Than Eeva made him a soft spot at some campus which he had zero experience for outside of IT (with a VP title because he cried when CCI demoted him to a director for a short time) because he had zero value added to the IT group. Remember Head has poor systems that a monkey could manage which Matt was ideally suited for. So just come out of the closet and admit your love for him because it is obvious your as much a looser as he is.

As for skills, he moved into the leadership role several years ago and doesn't need to keep up on his 3LiT3 hacxor 5KiLLz. Source: worked with him for several years.
It does count. Look at Matt Ormond's useless IT skills which are on par with a Hamburger order taker. His new role Eeva got for him to protect him is not as difficult.
