Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

The root cause is not Everest as being a bad school

This school, along with all the for profit schools are filling a perceived need, they are all rip-offs. The problem is much bigger and its the liberal government view that everyone should go to college. Clearly when you deal with these students, most should never go to college and are just ripping off the system to live on it. I suspect the increase in sending so many losers to for profit schools is really a wealth distribution by the administration and the purpose is to keep the unemployment numbers down (students don't count), distribute my wealth to the lazy and useless folks who suck from society's teat, and feed the liberals insatiable need to feel good by screwing hard working folks. Lets face it, few of the so called graduates will ever do better, they will go back to welfare once the education teat runs dry. Those that do better, would have anyway and didn't need to waste their money here, but it gave them confidence and that was good. The problem is LIBERALS, not for profit schools, who are just filling a government desire. Albeit getting rich on my dime! We need to realize there are dumb people in the world and no amount of education will help them, teach them a trade.

And to the A-Hole who will surely comment, yes I posted this twice, It seems to overlooked as everyone bashes Everest.

In the 80's and 90's there was a big push for everyone to go to college. I heard all the time "Most financial aid is never spent because people don't apply for it." (Meaning people on welfare) There were also clever people who figured out how to live off the government while going to school - they would sell booklets on how others could do this, too. When business leaders (and their politician cronies) noticed these things, they figured out how to make billions by getting the people who were eligible for all that financial aid to go to college, a for-profit college.

*The problem is that our government and our corporations were being run by the SAME F*CKING PEOPLE. They made corrupt policies that specifically benefited their businesses and industries and overlooked any unethical practices that put money in their own pockets.***

That was the how this whole for-profit college nightmare got started and grew into the hell it is today. That is also reason for the mortgage and foreclosure disaster. Many people in government and big business aren't liberals or conservatives; they're just powerful and willing to do and say whatever is necessary to stay in power and be mega-rich.

The for profit school business is like any other businesses. If a bank can rips you off with high interest credit cards or loans, is your fault, If a car dealership sells you a lemon for a bunch of money, is your fault, if you buy a house and can't make the payments, is your fault. Same thing here; if you can't read or right and you decided to sign your contract with the school/ lender is your problem to pay back the money.

Yeah, it was liberals who persuaded the "students" to take loans they couldn't afford.

At most cci schools students don't see a penny the financial aid money. The programs exceed the maximum aid a student can get so they need to take out private loans as well. Again most everest and wyotech students don't get a penny in their pocket. Please know that before you speak.

Missing comma(s) with nonrestrictive clause:

"who will surely comment" is a nonrestrictive clause that should be surrounded by commas. Consider adding the comma(s).

I never understood why the excess funds from student loans were given out to the student when no one can guarantee that it's going to be used for education. Put that money back into the loan and stop giving people free money! The line when stipend checks come in is enormous and full of all the students that otherwise are never in class/on campus. I consider myself liberal but that DOES piss me off!
