I've been with CHK for a little over 10 years, and I just received my best bonus ever and a 12% raise. Is Doug a good CEO? No. Would things been like this under AKM? No. It amazes me on how polarized everyone is on here. They are both turds.

Completely agree 71936. It amazes me that people like 71931 will pocket that "best bonus they've ever received at CHK" and not recognize WHY they received it - it's because of Doug and the new direction whether you want to admit it or not. Is anyone perfect? Absolutely not 71931 and that includes you. Give recognition where it is due and get with the new direction or please get off so we can continue to make progress.
I hope you enjoyed it. I would fully expect you and those like you, if you truly work for CHK to be fired within the year. If you don't like working for CHK and don't respect the managment and feel the need to publicly disrespect them, then leave the company. You are the exact type of person this company no longer needs and has been removing for the past year and a half. You and people like you are single handedly bringing down the company yourself. Doug is the best thing this company has seen since the first time it almost went under due to poor management of funds and resources and the "Buddy" deals that were so prevalent. As far as the bonus and raise, be thankful you even got one while other companies are laying off employees.
