Thread regarding ECMC layoffs

PURELY LIP SERVICE

Many of us were put in front of the firing squad last Friday-but they soon will be standing in front of one themselves. There are three kinds of management at ECMC/Zenith- some think they are slicker than snail snot- some that are lower than whale shit and some that are as graceful as a pig on ice! I'm sure they are as happy as a pig in shit to see us go. On the other hand - they are as useless as tits on a bull. Their way of thinking make as much sense as mixing the tax codes and a health policy and translating them into Swahili without the logic!! They had us jumping through hoops with numerous forms, 401K transfer, training, and other worthless agendas for show. It was simply and purely lip service and window dressing for the DOE. I am not going to accept the miniscule severance package they proposed. I say--class action law suit and making them pay more!! May God bless them.

OP - What is your basis for a suit? Most of us are in a right to work state. You can be let go for any reason at any time, as long as the reason is not illegal (race, gender, age, etc.). Severance pay is never required. No ethical will take on a suit under those circumstances. Unhappy? Call your union rep...

But wait! I thought ECMC was the savior? Dave Hawn was going to right all the wrongs of CCI and it's "criminal" leadership? What happened? Oh, shit, you mean we do need starts/revenue to keep people employed? Student population does matter? But why? We were all so happy to hear that we could just sit back and not worry if our students dropped or didn't come at all, we thought we could just teach 1 or 2 students a term and really teach them well! Make sure they graduate with honors and get a great paying job. Why isn't it working? It's only been 60 days...we can do it! Watch and see! Graduation and placement rates will all be 100%!!! I didn't know I would lose MY job if starts and population didn't matter!
