I know this is an old news, but do we know the name of the law firm handling the case?

Spoon fed

By their parents? Which Heald students are you talking about?

013 No. I'm just a concerned individual. For the folks that just got out of high school and entering vocational trades such as Heald, earning minimum wages are realistic and typical. Since these kids are still spoon fed by their parents and likely have no financial responsibilities, no harm done here yet. But for experienced former graduates that have financial obligations such as a mouth to feed, mortgages, car payment, insurance, credit cards, etc., pose a big problem. Minimum wages aren't going to cut it. This is when the "snowball effect" begins if unable to find a job that pays descent wage or a rewarding career as promised by these schools. Defaulting on your student loans and a delinquent credit card records can seriously affect your job outlook to any prospective employer. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the former graduates are unemployed out there, if not flipping burgers as their profession.

022, you don't think having $30,000 worth of debt while working at a minimum wage job is ruined? Wow, you really are heartless.

0013, good try sounding like you work at Heald. Heald students lives have been "ruined"? In what way? What are your specific examples? Whose loans are able to get discharged? Where's your information?

Yes, with all the litigation going on, I think CCI is not viable. Current students and recent graduates are fortunate that they're able to discharge their schools loans. The problems that they may encounter along the way haven't snowballed yet, unlike the former Heald alumni that are experiencing. Some of these folks lives are actually ruined. Relief or loan forgiveness are not sufficient. These folks deserve a restitution.

There is a class action lawsuit. It's by an instructor. Heald tried to get instructors to waive giving their contact information to the other attorney. I spoke with the attorney about this. He said it's not likely to get very far because Corinthian has no money. I can still look it up for you, though.

There is not a class action suit, just the one Harris brought against CCI.
