Heald gas convinced students that they will be left hanging if the school closes. They know full well that the programs will be taught out and that ED will help students find similar programs at reputable schools. Once again, Heald is abusing students for its own good.

858, agreed. A decade ago, the students may not have had the best preparation in the world, but they were conscientious students.
I guess Heald can because the current students are too dumb. With all the abundant resources available out there, they still failed to do their research. If this was a decade ago or so, it would've been different story.
You're correct, no teachout, but ED does discharge loans, and does provide info for getting into other programs.
Just like the DoE allowed Anthem to teach out last year right?
There wouldn't be a teachout. The students would be forced online to finish.
Here's where you can find accurate information about closed schools. ED does, in fact have information about legal aid, closed school discharge (yes, debt gets discharged, and other programs). https://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/consumers_cii_faqs Here's where to find specific information related to the individual colleges: https://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/corinthian-colleges
No. That would result in locked doors.
Hmmmm....If CCI files bankruptcy which immediately shuts off the Title IV faucet, will there be a teach-out?
