Shortly after the merger we had an Eclipsys VP state "We are trying to help build up the middle class of India". He had a track record of outsourcing to India from his previous companies. It is a shame to see Allscripts go down that path. They were once a great organization and had wonderful products. I left not long after he made that comment in a town hall.

As an Allscripts customer, I wish they would get rid of every single outsourced employee. We are an American customer sick and tired of dealing with cheap labor that can't communicate in english
I can confirm that the former Senior V.P. in question did say exactly what the original poster said, as I was on the conference call and heard it myself. The company quickly went into C.Y.A. mode after it was pointed out to him that it wasn't appropriate to say that. He had a written transcript typed for him of what to say, and he apparently went off script, which he was spoken to about. Many U.S. support staff were irate over his comment, and rightfully so.
