I understand SD has desal plants, but is it sufficient to supply 100% of SD's water use? In the Bay Area, there isn't a backup solution like desal. To prepare for the worst, i have hedged my bets by purchasing a SFH rental property in the Seattle area.

All those sweeping and mostly incorrect generalizations side, the evidence on the global warming hysteria is far from conclusive, and the doomsday is just around the corner (but it never really gets here) has a long history and global warming is just the latest flypaper for the "end is near" types.
Global warming has damaged the reputation of real science, that's unfortunate.

Bad science is bad science, it isn't proved correct by religious references, pro or con.
The global warming "science" had pretty much run its course, you can only fool the foolish for so long. Not that some won't cling to it in desperation but it's only real supporters anymore are either very gullible out they are making money on it. Everyone else has woken up to the scam.
