Management is lying, is greedy and does not care about workers or our country. Shame on you Allscripts, what goes around comes around and you will pay for your neglect of good hard workers and disregard of what's good for our country as you sending good paying jobs to India who will have all benefits of workers learning and advancing while you can save a few dollars. Shameful layoffs, you lied to workers that they are safe and this week you are laying people off.

This is exactly why white collar professional workers need to unionize.
The layoffs aren't done either. They'll continue to find sneaky ways to accomplish it, so that they minimize red flags with stockholders.
Two of their favorite deceptive layoff tricks are to:
1) Do them at PMRP (annual performance review) time and write it off as just eliminating low performers like every company does
2) Move employees from the Services organization to a different organization (typically support) and lay them off later. They do this because it looks bad for a business to lay off revenue-based workers due to not having enough work for them.
That is the game they play. But in due time those same upper level managers will be in the unemployment lines when they find their own jobs outsourced as well. They can't see the big picture. They are a pack of liars and fools. They made a secret trip to India (a trio of them) to orchestrate this debacle about a month ago. Selling out their own people to get a pack on the back. I"m sure they will get bonuses for the job well done selling out. Do not trust any management there now. And jump off the sinking ship anybody who is left while you still can. There are at least 2 people that have been laid off while management knowingly knew they had a baby only 1 month due away and they did it anyway even when the workers had great performance reviews. That is the type of company Allscripts has become. Ruthless. And you only are safe if you are part of the inner mafia
