I believe you are correct. I am being paid for 90 days before my severance period begins.
I am fairly confident this is the WARN notice for this current batch of layoffs. Instead of giving the NY State-required 90 days' notice to individual employees affected, the company is paying 90 days/3 months of severance to each affected employee in lieu of that 90-day notice. The July 1 end date listed is 3 months after April 1, which is when these layoffs are supposed to be done by. At least I hope this is the case!
