I heard rumors that 400-500 will be "impacted" next week by the RIF -- across the whole organization. Haven't heard how it will break down in terms of which parts of the company will be affected. I'm sure it will be just like the one in December, with little-to-no managers/directors/VPs affected though. Why get rid of useless high paid people, when you can cut some great engineers and intelligent creative people instead?

That is what sad, you have those "protected people/departments" they need to look at sales, project management, compliance, manuf and cut those areas along with VPs, managers and directors.
