Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Genesis calls 5 times a day when I am five days late on an $11.00 payment...never missed one before.

They have had my account messed up ever since I started, they constantly send my cosigner letters stating that I am up to $500 behind. Which is not even possible. They are scammers and now that Corinthian in going down, they are even more desperate. This is so pathetic.

4009- Yeah that is what cracks me up, most of these students can barely afford food and they act like its some great mystery why they aren't paying $1000/month for something that did them no good and is literally the last thing that any rational person would pay. When they make subsistence wages and have a whole swath of things that actually have value, the stupid shitty degree from CCI is not going to get paid for. Someone who would voluntarily miss their mortgage and every other bill to pay nothing but interest on a degree is probably not going to live long.

716- People pay for things that have worth. What is the worth of an education from CCI, about as much as a creamy wet pile of shit stinking up a public restroom?

College graduates today expect to make the same salaries as employees with ten to twenty years experience. No one wants to pay their dues anymore. Even the government of today think the same way. It's owed to me I shouldn't have to prove myself.

@659 You are absolutely correct. Judging from your comment, you probably work for the debt collector. You speak straight to the point. It's unfortunate that the default rate is spectacular. Many student have defaulted on their loans because they are likely unemployed or not making a descent wages to pay for their expensive worthless degrees. So, you can't really blame them for their erratic payment behaviors or simply refused to pay. I'm sure that if these folks have steady jobs that at least pay descent wages, none of these would've happened.

3716: Funny and so true. These students pick and chose what they pay. RESPONSIBILTY is not part of their DNA. Give me, give me is their M.O.

Here's even a better idea, don't pay anything. Don't pay your rent or mortgage, your car loan, your cellphone bill, your taxes, the utility bills, credit cards or anything. REFUSE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING. It's not your fault, it's because you were not aware you were required to pay back money you were loaned. Everything should be FREE.

5 days is not that late, not to warrant 5 calls a day! The only reason I am late is because I turned off the auto pay because CCI is going to close any day now, I do not want them getting one extra penny from me. Everest offers their own loans now, not paying that one because I will never see that money come back to me.

656 (and others) Here is a sure-fire way to avoid those annoying calls: Make your payment. Make it on-time. Problem mysterously disapears.....

You're not alone! Navient (former Sallie Mae) is the same way.

They also know a good chance of these loans getting invalidated soon so they are frantic to get whatever they can.

Paying is exactly what they want you to do, they want you to cave in like a little bitch and then they think they did great and can keep the scam going.
