No layoffs - here is an opening: JOB DESCRIPTION Experienced Dispatchers Wanted - Unlimited earning potention The Dispatcher-Brokerage position is responsible for the day to day movement of freight through the spot capacity market and BirdDog Logistics’ established carrier base.
This position sources carriers for customer loads that are available for shipment. Specifically, this position negotiates transportation costs in order to maximize net revenue and secures the carriers to move customer shipments via truckload, LTL, or other modes of transport as required meeting customer needs.
This position is responsible for ensuring that the transportation services are sourced to cover all contracted shipments and to ensure that BirdDog meets or exceeds its targeted net revenue and margin. Additionally, the Dispatcher is responsible for the ongoing recruitment of new carriers. This position interacts directly with both customers and carriers and must be able to communicate and manage both effectively while providing them with a professional experience that adds to the shipper’s confidence in our services. We have immediate multiple openings for dispatchers in our brokerage business based in Charlotte, NC. Success in this position could lead to a supervisory position.
