Louisville medical billing firm ZirMed Inc. eliminated some jobs this week in an overhaul of its customer service operations.
Jim Lacy, the company's chief financial officer, declined to say how many jobs were cut. He said it was less than 5 percent of the overall work force, which would be 16 based on the company's total head count of about 320. (Zirmed has the equivalent of about 305 full-time jobs, he said.)
