The saddest part of this all is that it is the hard working city employees that must carry the burden and suffer because of the city council, and managers inability to manage the city over the last decade or two. Whoever runs the economic development managers in this city should also question their resourcefulness and inability to get or retain business. What ever happened to saving in times of good for coverage in times of bad. Blame can also be placed on the apathetic voters that dont show up on election day.
Oh ya.. over half a million went for the day labor center by Contractor's. I still get mobbed over there in the parking lot. Lose lose situation there. First no return on the investment and the legitimate licensed contractors that really truly pay taxes get screwed, thus screwing the city. Stop this madness now. The FBI or state should immediately force the city to cease this as a mis-appropriation of government funds.
