No worries, you get a boot - you start a business... Hmmm, if it was only that easy... Here is an excerpt (congrats Terry anyhow): ....Using her background in clinical psychology, Terri Bly was working with companies to develop future leaders and advising on promoting people. When she was laid off from Personnel Decisions International last April, she launched Nature of Beauty, a natural and organic health, beauty and personal-care store and retail Web site.

"I looked at the layoff as an unprecedented opportunity," she said, explaining she used her severance package to take the leap of becoming an entrepreneur. "There is never a good time to take a risk and start a business, but it was also a bad time to look for another job. I really wanted to put my heart and soul into one thing."

After setting up the Web site, Nature of Beauty moved into its store on Grand Avenue, which opened in August 2009. It shares the space with Eco-Tique, a clothing store.

Bly and her husband, Paul, thoroughly researched the natural beauty and personal-care products industry prior to hanging her shingle. She worked through St. Paul-based nonprofit WomenVenture to get financing and, at first, the two were doing everything from packing boxes to accounting.
