Layoffs at Tulsa Police Department are being reported by Fox23. In short 24 folks have or are about to have lost their jobs...Almost two dozen police officers have been taken off Tulsa streets.
On Tuesday, the Tulsa Police Chief delivered the pink slips to 21 patrol officers and two civilian officers.
Across the board, Mayor Kathy Taylor announced a total of 37 city employee lay offs. Taylor says this is in response to a citywide $6 million shortfall.

Tulsa Police report because of the layoffs eight officers were called in Tuesday night to cover shifts at that Gilcrease Division. Tulsa's Chapter for the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) reports more than half of the 21 officers laid off worked at the Gilcrease Division.
