Things are not pretty back in Yuma, as KYMA reports
There could be massive teacher layoffs at the Yuma School District. That's the announcement made about the 2010-2011 school year from the Superintendent of Arizona Public Instruction, Tom Horne.
Of course, the bureaucrat provided a justification for the move (he'll keep his job though): Horne says, "The state is suffering from such a massive shortfall and its budget issue. We have a 10 billion dollar budget, a three billion dollar shortfall in revenue so it's going to be hard to protect education. We're going to try but it's going to be hard to protect education. That's 30 percent of the budget."
