76 county workers, more than half of them in Child Protective Services will be laid off, the Sacramento County Board of dSupervisors decided Tuesday afternoon.
Faced with a multi-million dollar budget shortfall, supervisors voted to eliminate 89 county positions, 76 which are currently filled.
Others to be laid off include employees with General Services, Department of Human Assistance, and Neighborhood Services.
