An Upshur County manufacturing plant is cutting back. Weyerhaeuser has announced plans to permanently lay-off 66 workers and reduce one shift at its Buckhannon-area facility. The plant, formerly Trus-Joist, produces re-enforced wood that is used in roof and wall frames for homes and businesses.
The layoffs are related to demand for the company's products.
The laid-off will received two months of pay and benefits.
The plant currently employs 254 people.
