Allenberg Cotton is circling around us like a shark - the voletile prices and contracted credit have hurt Dunavant and the merger with AC may be the only option that will allow the co to survive. Not sure if you've seen but Nicosia stated that talks are developing as he wanted and by the sheer fact he did not want to talk about timing I'd say that they are close to finalizing the deail. Let's be honest, the world of cotton is being altered for good and it may be time for D to take another path and join AC. If you remember, Paul Reinhart folded as well as Richardson - so a couple of key players are gone - times are tough. Anyhow, I'd expect cuts in finance, admin, marketing, sales and IT. Not sure about ops, but the groups I've listed will be hit for sure if the merger goes thru. Brush up your resumes folks...
