I made a post about them offshoring to India and South Korea and my post got removed idk which upper management at UHC reported it but it’s the truth they are planning to offshore half the company if you’re not a pay grade 30 or 2 you don’t have access to that information

No idea why everyone keeps saying "South Korea" for offshoring. UHG is offshoring as many jobs they can to THE PHILIPPINES. They are a 3rd world country compared to South Korea. All jobs are going to the Philippines. Get it right.
The goal is 70% overall offshore. The section I work in is already at 75 (some will be less some will be more to average at 70). We are skeleton crew stateside. I just pray every day I can fly under the radar and skate through another few yrs to be able to retire. This company is not the company I came to work for years ago
Corporations spend billions on food science to cause an obesity epidemic then dump their victims and leave them to deal with the fallout on their own. Healthcare companies should have been fighting against the food industry if they really cared about health.
Remember the big guy is not from the good old USA and has no loyalty to America. Also they continue to contract with companies who do call center in other countries. The company maybe headquartered here but not the employees. One director from this other company said their employees are fluent in English and of course cheaper, and one more thing. Healthier. American employees are not as healthy as foreign employees. She said Americans have a lot of medical issues and most are overweight. You don’t see that in other countries.
Lol on reporting them to DOGE…..DOGE tech bros don’t have a high opinion of American workers. Probably would instruct UHC on how to offshore ALL their American workers then bring foreign workers stateside on H1B Visas.
This site might have been offshored already and few moderators sitting in offshore.
Would that be reason why posts being removed?
If they offshore high salary jobs they disemploy an American worker and create a burden on the state’s employment department resources. Also there is now one less worker paying into the social security system which depends on those funds from every worker! Employers like UHG should be allowed to hire anyone they want but offshoring needs to be controlled and employer contributions to the welfare system must be mandated even if the employee lives in another country. I said this and a couple of other things UHG does should be reported to DOGE and other agencies and saw my post was removed. So I ask why would a moderator censor negative feedback about UHG/Optum? It seems more plausible that UHG is doing the censorship!
@original poster, I happen to to see your post before it got nuked. As far as I can remember it was less about offshoring and more about you not getting a raise and being in position to leak whatever. I read it as a lame joke, but given an extortion is a federal crime I can see why the mods might interpret it differently and decide to delete it.
Surely our SSNs are safe in the hands of contractors that write unreadable code.
SOUTH KOREA ?! Yeah, they have officially lost their fu--ing minds
I googled it and while UHG isn’t listed specifically there is an increase of large US companies offshoring to South Korea and surrounding areas as well as some more middle eastern ones. I think offshoring should be banned if you want to hire overseas employees then go overseas the amount of Americans who can take those jobs and I’m sure if people know their health information was getting seen by those overseas they would flip their lid. It’s comical they are in shock about data breaching and hacking when they give jobs to countries known for hacking and scammers.
SOUTH KOREA ?! Yeah, they have officially lost their fu--ing minds!
This one will get reported and removed too might as well send that Info somewhere useful
