Oops years ago, without ever informing your Amazon manager, you moved out of state from your assigned office in Seattle. You're a smart one, totally S-N-E-A-K-Y. But now the chickens have come home to roast. Better not delay booking the weekly flights back to Seattle before the seats sell out.

You exclude the employees with virtual location assignments. They don't have to go to any office. In fact, it's a double standard setup to further encourage silent layoffs.
There's always huge competition for jobs. Over time, with more and more remote jobs, the barrier to entry will relax. How can you work for Amazon AND struggle to get a remote job? Salaries at Amazon have also lowered considerably along with pay freezes anyway. Wait for 6-day RTO!
Any remote job openings out there that exist that are not a scam will have huge amounts of competition. Once the companies see the number of desperate applying, they will lower the salary.
January is “bring your flu to work” month. And rumor is that there will be COVID-25 plandemic!
Whatever. Amazon/RTO is a facade. "There are other companies around. I don't mean that in a bad way." T minus 0 until remote work again!
