Former claim rep for a reason. Most likely not enough claims processed per hour. Everyone cherry picking the easy stuff and dumping the complex back in the bucket since takes too long and messes up metrics
I wonder why nobody goes after the evil hospitals and health care providers. The outrageous bills originate there. But nope they are never going to take a haircut when it comes to $$
She more than likely was encouraged to depart if not out right fired. Some metrics have to be met, and if these people don't keep up they are shown the door. Some of her “accusations” aren't remotely believable. An irrelevant person trying to get some attention.
She worked for 9 months. People who base their opinions on articles like this are sheep.
UHG is going DOWN! Get out ASAP! It’s not frowned down upon to work for this employer.
If you read the "freaking article" and listen to her interview, she also says that they looked for all kinds of ways to actively deny claims and just kept putting it back into the queue for months on end as well as getting customers off the phone asap. She also recognizes that although violence is not the answer, people are angry because these denials are hurting people if not ki-ling them. If they have that kind of cutthroat business practice and treat their customers that way then they shouldn't even be an insurance choice for employers.
Now I have a visual of what happened behind the scenes for a loved one. Care and Profit does not mix. Industry is top heavy with narcissists and sociopaths.
The way they pressure managers to manipulate employee appraisals—are we really surprised? It’s a cultural issue
“It’s all about your employer and who they are negotiating with to get their employees the best health coverage,” Collins said when asked what she wanted the public to know.-IT PAYS TO READ the article. Claims are denied because employer groups don’t cover the benefit. If you read the freaking article, that is actually what she says.
