Please get people who actually care about closing locations. The store manager that was assigned to my location ever since our previous left is also the store manager over 2 other locations.... they have 2 closing locations plus their regular store to "manage" and trust, we never see them. Just setting us up for failure all around.

The manager is going to do the minimum needed to close out those stores. They know that working with the people in that store is short lived, so they won’t invest must energy. I get it, we all wish to work with people who care about us. Your old manager probably cared and that’s why they left. Macys is in a downward spiral. I suggest using your time to do the bare minimum and keep your eyes open for other opportunities at another company.

Are you serious? If two locations are closing, then the managers over those for a short period of time. Plus, why are you so concerned about a manager who “cares“ about closing locations. What is there to care about except winding down the operation. You’re being a little ridiculous. I don’t understand what your issue is.
